Groups and Programs

Most department faculty and lab members belong to one or more campus-wide special interest groups. These include the several OSU Centers and Institutes, including the Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center (ABRC), the Center for Applied Plant Sciences (CAPS), the Center for Muscle Health and Neuromuscular Disorders (CMHND), the Center for RNA Biology (CRB), the Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC), the Infectious Disease Institute (IDI), and the Mathematical Biosciences Institute (MBI), as well as the Cell Biology Group and the Developmental Genetics Group. Membership in these programs provides our students with scientific contacts across the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Medicine, the Wexner Medical Center, the OSU Vet School, and Nationwide Children's Hospital. Our students receive support and give presentations to diverse groups of the leading scientists in their fields, supporting a collaborative scientific network here at OSU.
