Well deserved congratulations to Christn Burd who was awarded Ohio States most distinguished teaching award! The Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching is given to only 10 faculty each year out of over 5000 eligible. The award honors Christin for her superior teaching; faculty members are nominated by present and former students and colleagues and selected by a committee of alumni, students and faculty. The award was given during a surprise visit to Christin's lab meeting, where she was honored by representatives from OAA (Vice Provost Helen Malone), the College of Arts and Sciences (Dean David Horn and Dean Susan Olesik), and a representative of the Alumni association. The award was followed by celebratory cake with her lab and colleagues.
