Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Zebrafish research on campus highlighted

Sharon Amacher

The Ohio State Health and Discovery website recently published an article discussing zebrafish research on campus entitled "The scientific wonders of zebrafish for biomedical research". Among many researchers on campus, our own Sharon Amacher is highlighted for her collaborative research on muscle and skeletal development and patterning. Among other research, Dr. Amacher is using zebrafish to model muscular dystrophy and was recently funded in collaboration with Drs. Kevin Flanigan and Martin Haesemeyer in the College of Medicine to use zebrafish to test and develop novel treatments for the disorder. We are so excited to see this important work highlighted!
