You are all invited to this year's Art & Technology student exhibition EXTRACT. A subset of the art exhibited was made by the students of our new interdisciplinary lab/studio course "Harvesting Color: The art and science of plant-human interactions" and features topics related to the biological function and artistic, nutritional, and medicinal use by humans of the flower petal carotenoid Lutein. Our students would be thrilled by a conversation with a scientist attending their show.
The public is invited to Extract a juried showcase of student artwork created in Art and Technology courses. See and experience artwork by undergraduate and graduate students working in new media, moving image, robotics, 3D modeling, art/science hybrids, animation, internet and tactical media. Opening reception is 5:00pm - 8:00pm, with additional open hours on Wednesday December 5, 11:30am – 4:00pm
Location: Hopkins Hall Gallery, Lobby and Collaboratory: first floor of Hopkins Hall, Department of Art, The Ohio State University, 128 N. Oval Mall.
