STILSA (Students in Life Sciences Abroad)

STILSA (Students in Life Sciences Abroad) is a global and cross-disciplinary education program whose mission is to promote the study abroad experience with a particular focus on the biological sciences. STILSA offers unique, accessible, and transformative educational experiences abroad to students. In an increasingly globalized world economy, STEM students need to be equipped with cross-cultural perspectives and intercultural competence to be successful in the workplace. By immersing students in science on a global scale, STILSA aims to promote their retention in STEM, transition into the workforce, and long-term success. To best prepare students for their professional journey, STILSA deployed several educational activities in partnership with universities and companies in continental France (Sorbonne Université, Paris-Saclay, 2tonnes), the French West Indies (Université des Antilles), Colombia (Pontificia Universidad Javeriana) Norway (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), Brazil (University of Sao Paolo, Visagio) and Belgium (University of Liège and Odisee)
