Dr. José R. Dinneny. Professor of Biology of Biology, Stanford UniversityTitle TBAThe Adolph E. Waller Memorial Lectureship was established September 5, 1975, with his bequest and funds public lectures in plant sciences. Adolph E. Waller completed his Ph.D. at The Ohio State University in 1918 where he participated in the early efforts to control wheat stem rust through the USDA barberry eradication program. After postdoctoral work at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, England Dr. Waller joined the staff of The Ohio State University Department of Botany in 1919 and was a Professor of Botany for 45 years prior to his retirement in 1964.
