TRONDBUSS

TRONDBUSS

(TRONDheim- ColumBUS and BUSS for transportation bus in Norwegian) is a US-Norway educational initiative with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in operation since 2013. TRONDBUSS pioneered a lab-based course at NTNU for OSU students on biomedical science including a unique cross-cultural bioethical perspective on the use of genome sequencing in a clinical setting. The class was designed jointly by the two partner institutions and customized for each offering to enhance the global learning experience of the participants. Global experiential learning was integrated into TRONDBUSS with the offering of in-lab and in-field independent and individual research opportunities to both NTNU and OSU students across the spectrum of life science disciplines including plant biology, ecology, animal physiology, neuroscience, marine science, systems biology and biomaterial science.
