The sometimes overlooked greenhouse on the roof of the 12th avenue garage was recently highlighted as a hidden gem in the WOSU series "Columbus Neighborhoods". The Biological Sciences Greenhouse houses over 1200 plant specimens, and an Insectary collection with 120 insects and arthropod specimens. The greenhouse is used for research and as a living lab for students on campus, and is designated a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Plant Rescue Center.
