16th Annual Falkenthal Memorial Graduate Research Lecture
Tom Pollard, dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; Sterling Professor of Molecular Cellular & Developmental Biology; Professor of Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry; and Professor of Cell Biology; Yale University, is the keynote speaker of this year’s Falkenthal Colloquium. His talk, Combining quantitative microscopy with biophysics to understand how actin participates in endocytosis, motility and cytokinesis, in 11:30-12:30, 001 Jennings, is open to the public. Pollard is receiving an honorary degree at spring commencement. The Colloquium, established in 1997 by molecular genetics faculty member Scott Falkenthal, gives molecular genetics third and fifth-year PhD students an all-day forum to present their research.
