Amacher awarded President's Research Excellence Accelerator award

Sharon Amacher

Congratulations to Sharon Amacher, who is the Principal Investigator on one of the first round of Accelerator grants from the President's Research Excellence program. Entitled "Accelerating new muscular dystrophy treatments using a zebrafish disease model" this grant will allow Dr. Amacher to work with collaborators Kevin Flanigan and Martin Haesemeyer, College of Medicine to use the zebrafish model to evaluate candidate genes and pathways as targets for future development of muscular dystrophy therapies. This grant was one of nineteen funded in the first round of applications. Congratulations to the Amacher lab!
