Amanda Bird receives Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching
Well deserved congratulations to Amanda Bird (Associate Professor in the Departments of Human Sciences and Molecular Genetics) who was awarded Ohio State's most distinguished teaching award! The Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching is given to only 10 faculty each year out of over 5000 eligible. The award honors Amanda for her superior teaching; faculty members are nominated by present and former students and colleagues and selected by a committee of alumni, students and faculty. The award was given during a surprise visit to her department meeting, where he was honored by representatives from OAA (Senior Vice Provost Patrick Louchouarn and Helen Malone) the College of Education and Human Ecology (Dean Erik Porfeli and Chair Susan Sutherland) and the College of Arts and Sciences (Molecular Genetics Chair Susan Cole).
We are so very proud of Amanda's accomplishments!
