Christin Burd promoted
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Christin Burd has been promoted to the position of Full Professor. Dr. Burd's lab focuses on identifying mechanisms to prevent melanoma and improve clinical outcomes in older adults with cancer. She is among a small group of researchers world-wide with a background in both the basic biology and clinical application of aging science in cancer populations.
In the last two years, Dr. Burd has earned the Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching, the Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award, and the Arts and Sciences Mid-Career Faculty Excellence Award. In addition to her research, Dr. Burd is one of the co-founders of the popular Cancer Genetics course, and is an outstanding research mentor at all levels. We are so proud to have her as a colleague.
