Congratulations to our Molecular Genetics Graduates
In the 2025/26 academic year about 45 undergraduates completed a BS in Molecular Genetics, and we were delighted to celebrate their accomplishments on Saturday before they formally became alumni on May 10th. They were an amazing group! Over half completed a second major or one or more minors ranging from Neuroscience and Psychology to Dance and Music. Over half graduated with Latin honors and 30% graduated with honors at OSU. Almost 60% engaged in independent research while at OSU and 1/3 of those completed an undergraduate research thesis to graduate with Research Distinction. In the next year many of them will continue their education; earning M.S. degrees, Ph.D.s, M.D.s and other advanced degrees while others will enter the workforce at institutions including Batelle, Andelyn, and Forge among others. We are so proud of their accomplishments and look forward to their future successes. Keep in touch!
Special shoutout to the Molecular Genetics faculty who attended the celebration (Sharon Amacher, Susan Cole, Christin Burd, Craig Burd, Anna Dobritsa, Heithem El-Hodiri, Anita Hopper, and Ambro van Hoof) and to the Molecular Genetics alumni who sent congratulatory videos (Maya Gosztyla, Yannis Hadjiyannis, Mark Hester, Maria Mihaylova, Zoie Petitto, Timothy Plageman, Leigha Senter-Jamieson, Jesse Slone, and Mitchell Ticoras)
