We would like to highlight Pooja Gangras' recent award from the Office of Student Life recognizing her outstanding leadership. Pooja is a graduate student in the Singh lab, but also was the President of the non-profit student organization Sankalpa last year. Sankalpa works to support socio-economic development in India. They work with independent social workers or small-scale non-profit groups in India to undertake sustainable, grassroot-level projects in areas including education, health, sanitation, agriculture and energy. We are glad to see Pooja’s important work in this area recognized!
