Priscila Rodriguez Garcia (Ph.D. Candidate in the Mackey Lab) recently attended a the  SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) conference, and wrote a story about her experience on her website. The story, entitled “Using the ‘fear of missing out’ to my advantage in science” got the attention of an online magazine called Stories in Science and they asked Priscila to expand on it and publish it through them. Priscila's experience displays our ever-growing need for scientific communication skills.
