We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ruben Petreaca has been promoted to the position of Associate Professor with tenure. Dr. Petreaca teaches extensively at the Marion campus where his laboratory studies how DNA damage is repaired in eukaryotic cells. His outstanding research has been funded by multiple grants from the NIH and he is the first regional campus faculty member to be appointed to the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has also been noted for his outstanding teaching and his mentoring of undergraduate students, including the first Marion campus students to earn Undergraduate Pelotonia fellowships. His dossier was awarded the Arts and Sciences Early Career Faculty Excellence Award. Congratulations Ruben, we are proud to have you as a colleague!
