Congratulations to Anna Dobritsa who was recently awarded an NMS Exploration Grant. Her proposal entitled "Exploring protein interactions involved in pollen aperture formation in Arabidopsis thaliana" was funded by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Molecular Genetics to examine the mechanisms by which complex extracellular structures like exine (the outer cell wall of plant pollen grains) are patterned during development.
