Congratulations to Hay-Oak Park who was recently awarded an NMS Exploration Grant. Her proposal entitled "Linking cell polarity signaling and autophagy during aging" was funded by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Molecular Genetics to explore how the interplay between cell polarity signaling and autophagy leads to senescence or death. The Park lab takes combinatorial approaches, including genetics, biochemistry, and microfluidics-based single-cell imaging.
