Congratulations to Ruben Petreaca who is serving as a co-PI on an NMS Exploration Grant recently awarded to Renee Bouley (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry). Their proposal entitled "Investigating the role of L,D-transpeptidases in the Antibiotic-Resistance of Enterobacteriaceae" was funded by the College of Arts and Sciences and Marion campus to use biochemical and genetic approaches to examine the underpinnings of antibiotic resistance in bacteria. This work will be completed at the Marion Campus.
