First-ever BioEYES Festival!

Kuppan Subramanian presents to Barrington Elementary students

On Wednesday, April 132022, fourth grade students from Barrington Elementary visited the Ohio State Campus to follow up on their in-classroom BioEYES experience last fall with more hands-on science activities. The students toured the fish facility, viewed live fluorescent zebrafish embryos and fruit fly larvae under a microscope, did Punnett square genetics, built a DNA molecule out of pipe cleaners and beads, and decoded DNA messages. Molecular Genetics majors Kuppan Subramanian (pictured) and Ally Weidman helped at the event. We are hosting additional festivals with 4-5th graders from Barrington and Cranbrook Elementary schools later this spring.
