We wanted to congratulate Greetchen Diaz, an MCDB student who completed her Ph.D. with Anita Hopper.

Greetchen is currently the Director, Science Education Program and Community Partnerships at Ciencia Puerto Rico, and was chosen as one of the 125 inaugural AAS IF/THEN Ambassadors.

In recognition of this honor, a life size statue of her will be displayed at the NorthPark Center in Dallas Texas, and she was featured in the February 2020 edition of Marie Claire!
