Well deserved congratulations to Guramrit Singh who was awarded Ohio States most distinguished teaching award! The Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching is given to only 10 faculty each year out of over 5000 eligible. The award honors Amrit for his superior teaching; faculty members are nominated by present and former students and colleagues and selected by a committee of alumni, students and faculty. The award was given during a surprise visit to our department meeting, where he was honored by representatives from OAA (Senior Vice Provost Patrick Louchouarn) and the College of Arts and Sciences (Dean Susan Olesik).
