Adriane Thompson, an outstanding young scientist and high school student working in the Hollick lab, is one of the Top 40 Finalists in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s most prestigious pre-college science competition. The finalists were selected from almost 2,000 entrants through an extensive application process. Adriane’s project is titled, "Differentially Expressed Genes from RNA-Seq Identify both RNA Polymerase IV- and Dicer-like3-Independent Regulatory Pathways in Zea mays, Verified through qPCR and Bioinformatic Analyses of Novel Gene Classes”. She and the other 39 finalists will travel to Washington DC in March 2020 to participate in a week-long judging process and present their research. We are so proud of Adriane!
