Molecular Genetics joined other OSU departments, centers, and clubs, and other Columbus area STEM groups, at the COSI Big Science Celebration on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Our “FUNdamentals of Genetics” booth highlighted genetic principles and a few of our model systems – Arabidopsis, C. elegans, and zebrafish, with lots of engaging hands-on activities! We are grateful to undergraduates Carson McNulty and Kathryn Thompson, graduate students Caleb Gooden, Anna Lubertozzi, Nels O’Connell, and Ben Pastore, postdoctoral fellow Rene Arvola, and faculty Sharon Amacher, Amanda Bird, Greg Booton, Susan Cole, Anna Dobritsa, Amrit Singh, and Harald Vaessin for participating in the event and sharing their love of STEM with the Columbus community.
