Molecular Genetics visits Whitehall Library for "Kids Create"

On April 23rd, we visited the Whitehall branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library to help children aged 7-12 prepare DNA from strawberries as part of the “Kids Create” afterschool program. Faculty Anna Dobritsa, Shuai Huang, and Shujun Ou, grad students Ben Pastore, Carmen Rodriguez, and Nathen Zavada, and undergrads Amanda Jay and Charles Franz had a great time working with the kids, parents, and library staff on this messy but very fun activity!
