Molecular Genetics welcomes new faculty

Aronoff Laboratory
Dr. Wayne Miles  performed his graduate work at the University of Manchester, where he examined the role of SUMOylation on Dpp signaling in Drosophila embryos. In 2009, he joined Dr. Nicholas Dyson’s lab at Harvard Medical School where he focused on the regulation of E2F transcription factors by RNA binding proteins. His currentresearch focuses on understanding how loss of the Retinoblastoma 1 (pRB) tumor suppressor changes the transcriptome and proteome of cancer cells.

Dr. Ruben Petreaca received his PhD from the University of California, Riverside, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Southern California with Dr. Susan Forsburg. His research focus is to understand how DNA damage is repaired in eukaryotic cells, using yeast as a model. Dr. Petreaca will be teaching at the OSU Marion campus.
