New award to Patrice Hamel and STILSA
Congratulations to Patrice Hamel and Joy Brihm-Spann who were recently awarded funds from the Career Center of Excellence (a catalyst grant for their proposal "i-STEM Careers”) and from the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures to support additional student research experiences abroad through the STILSA (Students in Life Sciences Abroad) program.
STILSA is an international education program that offers paid, career-building and credit-earning experiential learning opportunities to OSU students in biology-based subdisciplines or areas. Funded students spend a semester in a host lab, engaged in cutting edge research while also being immersed the the global culture of science in locations ranging from Norway to Brazil to France, to Romania.
