New NIH funding to Huang lab
Congratulations to Shuai Huang, whose grant entitled "Immune control by GBPL proteins in Arabidopsis" was recently funded by the NIH. Funded by this grant, the Huang lab will employ cutting-edge techniques and interdisciplinary approaches to study a new group of host immune proteins - the Guanylate Binding Protein-Like (GBPL) GTPases - in plant immunity. The study has the potential to unveil novel host defense mechanisms and should have broad implications for the development of innovative strategies for controlling infectious diseases in both plants and animals.
