Congratulations to Amanda Simcox, Emeritus Professor whose grant entitled "Linking systemic and local signaling for proportional growth" was recently funded by the NIH. This project will use the model Drosophila system to analyze how parts of the body (limbs and organs) grow in concert with overall body size, with implications for our understanding of human conditions that alter body proportions or cause birth defects that reduce limbs.
