We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ruben Petreaca has been promoted to the position of Professor of Molecular Genetics. Dr. Petreaca teaches extensively at the Marion campus where his laboratory studies how DNA damage is repaired in eukaryotic cells. His outstanding research has been funded by multiple grants from the NIH and he is the first regional campus faculty member to be appointed to the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has also been noted for his outstanding teaching and his mentoring of undergraduate students (with over 20 student mentees to date!), including the first Marion campus students to earn Undergraduate Pelotonia fellowships.
