We are delighted to announce that Dr. Patrice Hamel collaborator Dr. Cindy Jang (Office of International affairs) received an Undergraduate Research Access Innovation Seed Grant. The objective of this project “Undergraduate Research Experience in Norway” is to create a formalized path offering for-credit and financially accessible international research experiences to OSU undergraduates in a wide range of subdisciplines in the biological sciences. The proposed project is building on an international research internship pilot pioneered by Dr. Hamel under TRONDBUSS, a US-Norway bilateral educational initiative which already served 68 students. Dr. Cindy Jang, an education researcher, and a current collaborator on the TRONDBUSS program will assess how students learn about cultural differences in local and global context.
