Molecular Genetics was one of >30 exhibitors at the WestFest Science and Technology Festival on October 15, 2022. Community members of all ages visited our exhibited and viewed zebrafish embryos and plant pollen samples under the microscope, played Punnett square genetics games and became DNA detectives and decoded DNA messages. We were even visited by a group of scholars from Ethiopia and Brutus the Buckeye! Molecular Genetics undergraduates Kirti Chopra, Alexis DiMatteo, Crystal Finzer, Laurel Fleszar, Israel Lorenzana, and Meera Rajagopal and high school senior Kirril Gruzberg joined members of the Amacher and Dobritsa labs for the event. We are grateful for their willingness to help out during Fall break!
