Research interests:
As an embryo transitions from a single cell to a complete organism, its constituent cells must coordinate their movements in space and time to shape the emerging body plan. My lab uses genetic, live imaging, and synthetic developmental biology approaches in zebrafish to understand how embryonic cells "know" where to go and when to go there as they form the embryonic axes and neural tube.
