Congratulations to Dr. Sharon Amacher, who has been appointed to the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) Advisory Council. The Advisory Council includes leaders in science, education, and public affairs, and plays a critical role in the mission of NIGMS and the NIH. Council members perform the second level of peer review for research and research training grant applications assigned to NIGMS and provide advice and recommendations policies and programs that impact the mission and goals of the institute.
