Undergraduate research summer program funded by NSF!

Dr. Susan Cole

Congratulations to Susan Cole and Jane Jackman, whose NSF proposal to fund an undergraduate summer research program has been funded for four years. This application provides money to renew support of the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program that has been operational for the last decade. The program places undergraduates from colleges across the US into OSU labs for a 9 week research experience that will make them more competitive for graduate programs. The REU program in Molecular Biology has faculty mentors from the Departments of Molecular Genetics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, and Microbiology, building strong ties across the College of Arts and Sciences.
