The goal of our REU program is to broaden participation in the sciences by providing research opportunities for students in groups that are traditionally underrepresented in science careers. This would include, but not be limited to, students who are members of an ethnic, racial, or other group that is underrepresented in the sciences, students with a disability, students who are first generation college students or from low-income families, and students attending institutions with limited independent research opportunities.
