OSU has been presenting this award for 40 years. Of the ~3000 teaching assistants at OSU, 106 were nominated for this award, and 71 of the nominees were selected to submit a teaching portfolio; only a few of the finalist received the 2012 award.

Greetchen Diaz MCDB graduate student in the A.K. Hopper lab: Greetchen’s abstract for the 2102 American Society of Microbiology annual meeting was selected to receive an ASM Student Travel Award and the honor of Outstanding Student Poster.
Joanna Boruc postdoctoral scholar in the Meier lab: Joanna has been awarded an American Society of Plant Biology travel grant to attend Plant Biology 2012 in Austin, TX. Joanna’s abstract has been selected for an oral presentation in the minisymposium session Intracellular Trafficking.
